Privacy & how it works
Understand what happens when you search for a NSW real estate agent and what AgentCheck does — and does not — store.
Your licence search
Your search is sent to AgentCheck's server and the NSW licence service. AgentCheck does not create an account or save your searches to an AgentCheck database. The NSW Government licence service supplies the publicly available records displayed in the search journey.
AgentCheck does not independently search the NSW Fair Trading Name and Shame Register or send your reported register findings to the government.
Temporary browser session
The selected public licence record and your selected regulatory-check response can remain in this browser tab for up to 30 minutes to help you return from the official register. “Start a new search” clears this saved journey. Browser session storage may remain until the tab closes; expired entries are discarded when the page next opens.
Hosting, logs and limitations
The hosting and NSW Government service providers may retain operational access logs. Licence status is time-specific. AgentCheck does not independently verify a visitor's selected regulatory entry, endorse an agent or assess their suitability.
AgentCheck is independent and is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by the NSW Government. Always confirm records and published outcomes using the official sources.
